Regardless of how you feel about Josh, losing a family member is never an easy thing to go through.
Personally I never really went to chat. Honestly the site was better when it focused mainly on Chris.
According to this Josh missed the funeral by almost 2 weeks so it makes me wonder what this "sudden family emergency" is really about. Inheritance?

Her death was sudden according to the obituary. While people often take time off for funerals, they're not really "emergencies".
It was 10 days after his grandmother's funeral, and 15 days after he'd first mentioned a family emergency, that Josh said he was taking a week off. The reason may be as simple as his mother wanting his support right now. We know that the Vordrak created drama of a few years ago caused a rift with her siblings.

I know writing is subjective but his grandma actually sounded like a sweet lady. I have no idea about Josh's mom and it's not my interest but losing a family member suddenly is horrible and I hope they find peace because it sounds like she just like helping people.
I feel bad for Josh for not spending time with her because his life would have been different.
