He started doing this after it was discovered she was a chick all along, so I suspect he believes defending her on the internet will get her to like him.
All I know is I'm on the side of laziness and updating an op every time you find a new thing defeats the purpose of the thread existing and being open to replies. At that point just lock the thread so no one else can post and only op can update it after getting dmed suggestions because that is an entirely different kind of post. He didn't even say he would update the OP if there were other users either, because you can just make a new post yourself and not be retarded.
