Mormonism has declined heavily in Utah, it's a dying religion,
Around 20 to 30 years ago, Utah used to be around like 75% to 80% Mormon depending on the statistic you use as a source. Now and days? Mormonism no longer even has a 50% majority in Utah. Atheists, agnostics, Catholics, various Protestant groups, and Evangelicals now outnumber the Mormons in their own home state.
Mormonism is still the majority religion in Utah but they are no longer the majority population in Utah itself as the Vatican and other Protestant groups and Evangelicals are moving in to Utah to show the Mormons on why Mormonism is considered heresy in Christianity and why Joseph Smith is a false prophet.
Just remember, the Mormons don't believe in the Trinity (the Mormons believe that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are three separate beings thus making Mormonism technically a polytheistic religion rather than monotheistic) and the Mormons don't even adopt the Nicene Creed which makes Mormonism a heretical cult in the eyes of most Christians.
There's a very good reason why the rest of the Christian community sees Mormonism as "White Islam".
You can even make the argument that Mormonism also has more in common with Scientology because Joseph Smith was just as much of a bullshitter as L. Ron Hubbard. Both Smith and Hubbard liked them really young too (Joseph Smith liked little girls and L. Ron Hubbard liked little boys) and both Smith and Hubbard had very vivid imaginations to create their bullshit religious doctrines that have more in common with Star Trek and Lord of the Rings than it does with actual Christianity.
